Humanitarian and Migration intern (

The UK Mission to the United Nations (UN) & World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Geneva represents the interests and policies of the UK at the UN. Its Migration and Protracted Crisis Team is recruiting two highly motivated and skilled Humanitarian and Migration Interns.
Working in the Mission's Humanitarian and Migration Team, the Humanitarian and Migration Interns will work under the supervision and guidance of the First Secretary and Second Secretary Humanitarian and Migration respectively. They will participate in the Mission's multilateral work as an integral part of the UK Mission to the UN, supporting delivery of the UK's objectives for UN Reform and the UK Government's humanitarian migration policy goals.
These internships are an opportunity to acquire insight into and front-line experience of the work of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. They will also provide the interns with a detailed picture of the humanitarian architecture and/or forced displacement and migration system and the current debates and developments in humanitarian policy and/or forced displacement and migration affairs (UN Reform, UNHCR, IOM, IFRC, ICRC, Global Compact for Migration, Global Compact on Refugees, IASC , International Dialogue on Migration, Climate mobility, etc.).
Subject to the expertise and interests of the successful candidates, one intern will be asked to focus in particular on the humanitarian side of the team's work, and the other intern to focus in particular on the forced displacement / migration side of the team.
