IFRS Accounting Standards Specialist Banking
Aufgaben
Expert function for the interpretation of IFRS accounting principles and Swiss GAAP for banks (Art. 23-28 BO and FINMA circulars), including extensive contact with senior management / Playing a key role in monitoring current developments in IFRS accounting regulations / Responsible for recording, reviewing and integrating accounting assessments in the global accounting principles and assurance function with teams in New York, London, and Singapore / Monitoring relevant changes to IFRS accounting standards and acting as the central point of contact for the implementation of new IFRS guidelines / Further developing the group accounting and reporting manual in accordance with internal and external requirements / Ensuring the content requirements for IFRS-based financial reports and advising on the preparation of financial reports at group and local level / Participation in bank-wide transformation projects / Development and implementation of training courses on technical accounting issues, posting logic, etc. / Development and management of internal control systems for accounting policy issues / Coordination between the CFO office, internal audit, and external auditors / Representation of the accounting function in cross-functional working groups.
Qualifikation
Master's or Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance / CPA, ACCA / In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Swiss accounting standards for banks / Extensive experience in interpreting and applying accounting principles / Professional experience in IFRS in the group accounting department of a bank and/or in auditing banks / Experience with regulatory requirements for accounting and reporting for banks / Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a structured and independent working style / Team orientation with flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced environment / Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines / Excellent communication, persuasion, and presentation skills coupled with the ability to get things done / Experience in an international, multicultural environment / Fluent in German and English.
