Job Description

To help us build systems that support key infrastructure components to delivery real-time automation environments for our internal and external customers, we are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who can be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of an organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud environments, ensuring their security and efficiency, often leading complex technical projects, and providing expert technical guidance to the team while staying updated on emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, lead, and optimize the organizations infrastructure, network, and database ecosystems.
• Manage large-scale database and/or data repositories ensuring high availability, scalability, and security to support Warehouse Management platform product and solution deliveries to include platforms executing the automation deliverables.
• Oversee on-prem and cloud-native infrastructure strategies, ensuring resilience and disaster recovery.
• Implement advanced database/data repository replication, sharding, partitioning, and performance tuning.
• Develop automation strategies for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management to support both internal platforms used for product development and external platforms used for project and customer service lifecycle management.
• Establish security policies and procedures for infrastructure and databases for any certifications required (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR and any certifications established for logistics data security).
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and forensic investigation for infrastructure-related outages for both internal and external environment areas.
• Drive cloud migration and modernization efforts (hybrid/multi-cloud strategies).
• Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to define and manage the infrastructure roadmaps and strategies aligning with the DevOps/Product Development teams for delivery and operational capabilities.
• Mentors and guides junior and mid-level engineers to train/guide infrastructure best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5+ Years experience in same or similar role within an infrastructure organization.
• Expert with hands-on experience in server administration, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud/hybrid platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and architectures for enterprise workloads.
• Expert/strong experience/background in networking, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices
• Deep knowledge and skill with database (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle) systems including data architecting for enterprise use cases.
• Experience with data collection tools (ELK Stack, Splunk) for setup, configuration, and utilization for analysis, monitoring, and various other data repository use cases.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) languages with advanced/expert use (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation).
• Experience with containerization of data platforms and infrastructure integration with container platforms like Kubernetes.
• Leadership experience in infrastructure teams, driving automation, scalability, and security.
• Advanced experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash languages.
• Detail oriented individual with good verbal and written communication skills.
