You will collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to perform material analysis and testing, focusing on metallography, corrosion, and tribology. WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?
As an intern in the materials team, you will work closely with our experts, project managers, and research engineers in the areas of metallography, corrosion, and tribology. You will prepare metallographic samples and characterize them for failure analysis and development projects. In the area of corrosion, you will support material and coatings characterization and perform accelerated corrosion tests in the lab. In tribology, you will conduct experimental tests on tribometers and component test rigs to analyze friction and wear phenomena.
You will work with state-of-the-art equipment in a modern lab environment, developing and optimizing test methods, refining experimental procedures, and enhancing testing protocols across all fields. Documenting results and preparing comprehensive reports will be crucial to your role. Your contributions will be vital in advancing Hilti's innovative and sustainable technologies.
