Your Role and Responsibilities



In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.


You will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement (6 months). Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

Work model: hybrid (maximum 20% remote) {#LI Hybrid}

This internship focuses on supporting the low and medium voltage switching research team in experimental and simulation tasks. The internship tasks will include:

Construction of experimental setups Participating in designing and in simulating novel concepts for low and medium voltage switchgear Executing experimental tasks within the ABB research team Evaluating experimental results and performing data analysis

Qualifications for the Role



You currently pursue an advanced Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related subject You have hands-on experience in experimental work in a lab You possess programming skills in Python and you are proficient in CAD software (or willingness to learn it) You are at ease communicating in English Non-EU/non-EFTA citizens, please note that a certificate from your university, showing that an internship is a mandatory part of your studies, is required for the visa application
