Internship Low Noise Low Power Analog Front End Design For Automotive Sensor Ics 6 Months

Bevaix, Neuenburg, Switzerland

Job Description

Project description (Master's thesis/Internship: 6 months)
As an intern at Melexis, you will architect, design, and verify all the building blocks of a low noise low power analog front-end interfacing circuit for an automotive grade sensor IC.
More specifically, you will:

  • Conduct the literature review of state-of-the-art low-power, low-noise designs for the corresponding analog building blocks.
  • Synthesize new circuit concept to address specific performance optimization and trade-off, focusing on noise, power consumption and area.
  • Implement aforementioned circuit concept and verify the performance by simulation.
  • Properly report and document the circuit implementation and verification outcome.
Expected results
  • A comprehensive literature review: a report summarizing the latest research and state-of-the-art techniques
  • A synthesized design proposal: one or more circuit ideas based on the conducted research and investigation
  • Circuit implementation: following standard IC design flow for automotive application
  • Proper report and documentation: final documentation and presentation on the schematics, simulation, and analysis results
Requirement
  • Good knowledge in analog design tools (Cadence Virtuoso)
  • Fundamental understanding of analog circuits and transistor-level design and simulation techniques
  • Experience in low-noise, low-power analog circuits is a plus
  • Conceptual understanding and hands-on experience in analog circuit layout in submicron CMOS technologies
  • Good communication skills in oral and written English
