IT / OT Support Specialist - Industrial Environment
Position Overview
We are looking for an IT / OT Support Specialist to join an on-site IT organization supporting a complex and critical industrial environment. The role sits at the intersection of traditional IT systems and Operational Technology (OT), working closely with global IT teams, security, and manufacturing stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for end users (incidents and service requests via phone, email, walk-up, and self-service portal)
Provision, maintain, and support end-user hardware, software, and peripherals
Support and maintain network printers, conference room equipment, and other site devices
Administer and support Windows 10 and Windows Server environments (2017-2022)
Support network operations including routers, switches, and general TCP/IP connectivity
Coordinate with global IT Service Desk, Endpoint Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security teams
Escalate incidents according to established incident response procedures
Participate in IT/OT projects and lifecycle management initiatives
Support patching, updates, antivirus, backup, and recovery activities
Assist with monitoring, asset management, and change management
Support industrial control system (ICS) network environments and OT security initiatives
Coordinate IT/OT support for industrial capital projects from design through commissioning
Required Qualifications
A+ certification or equivalent practical experience
CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
Minimum 5 years of IT experience, including exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments
Strong knowledge of:
Windows 10 and Windows Server (2017, 2019, 2022)
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
Experience with Mobile Device Management solutions
Hands-on experience with enterprise printers and peripherals
Ability to operate in a structured, regulated, and safety-critical environment
Preferred Qualifications
CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent security certifications
Experience with Fortinet and/or Palo Alto firewalls
Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
Tools such as SolarWinds and WSUS
Knowledge of industrial systems (ICS / DCS: Siemens, Emerson, Honeywell)
Previous experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or continuous manufacturing environments
