We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support System Engineer to provide on-site IT support for our client located inLausanne, Switzerland, The engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical assistance, resolving end-user issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first and second-level technical support to end users (hardware, software, and network).
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, VPN, and connectivity.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, business applications, and standard IT tools.
Perform user account administration (Active Directory, Office 365, permissions, groups).
Support meeting rooms, video conferencing systems, and other on-site equipment.
Handle incident tickets, service requests, and update documentation as required.
Collaborate with remote support teams to resolve escalated issues.
Conduct weekly on-site visits to the Venlo facility when required (travel covered by client).
Maintain professional communication and service quality at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in Desktop Support, IT Support, or System Engineer roles.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, hardware troubleshooting, and basic networking.
Familiarity with Active Directory, ticketing systems, VPN, and remote access tools.
Ability to work independently and manage on-site tasks efficiently.
Language Requirements:
French: B2 level or above
English: B2 level or above
Valid work authorization to work in the Switzerland is mandatory.
