Your mission :
The Institute of Physics (IPHYS), 500+ employees, from the School of Basics Science at EPFL is looking for an IT Team Leader. The successful candidate will report to the Institute Director and lead the IPHYS IT Platform to efficience and high quality service, embracing evolution and changes to ensure the best service to research laboratories.

The successful candidate will report to the Institute Director and lead the IPHYS IT Platform to efficience and high quality service, embracing evolution and changes to ensure the best service to research laboratories.
Main duties and responsibilities include :
- Manage the team of IT staff
- Organise, supervise and coordinate the IT services provided to IPHYS, manage budget
- Ensure priorities are met when processing IT requests (via Ticketing)
- Continuously improve the service-related processes and the partnership with research laboratories and administrative units
- Participate and deliver on a daily basis in 2nd and 3rd level support, handling escalations and complex requests
- Ensure a close collaboration with IT services of other Schools
Your profile :
- Advanced degree in IT or computer science
- Extensive experience in managing IT hardware/software services and IT security
- Knowledge and experience in LINUX
- Any other ITIL or IT management related certification is an asset
- Experience in team leadership, budget management and change management
- Ability to quickly learn and ensure beeing up to date with new technologies
- Efficient, self driven, autonomous, self-organized and comfortable in a fast paced and evolving environment
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to work with a wide range of people
- Capability to work in English and French, both written and spoken
