Job Description

Project: For our banking client in the Zurich region, we are looking for an experienced Java application developer (m/f/d) with a strong focus on backend development who will further develop existing applications in the area of investments and pensions and also take on operational tasks as part of a DevOps approach.

Tasks and responsibilities:

oFurther development and maintenance of Java-based backend services in the area of investments and pensions

oImplementation of new functions for eBanking modules in collaboration with specialist and IT teams

oAnalysis, design and implementation of interfaces and backend components

oCollaboration on full-stack topics with a focus on backend and occasional support in frontend (Angular/TypeScript)

oAssumption of operational tasks as part of the DevOps approach (e.g. operation, error analysis, deployments)

oCollaboration in a distributed, virtual DevOps team with multiple technical and functional dependencies

Requirements:

oDegree in computer science, business informatics or comparable education (university/technical university/ETH)

oSeveral years of experience (at least 5 years) in software development with Java, with a clear focus on backend development

oVery good knowledge of Java and common Java development frameworks (e.g. Spring)

oExperience with relational databases and SQL, ideally Oracle

oKnowledge of Angular and TypeScript for working on full-stack topics (not purely front-end focus)

oExperience with Linux-based systems and operational tasks in the DevOps environment

oFamiliarity with working in complex system landscapes with many technical dependencies

oIdeally, basic technical knowledge in the area of investments and pensions

oAnalytical, structured way of working with a high sense of quality and responsibility

oTeam-oriented and independent way of working
