The Industrial Robotics Group, co-hosted by ETH Z\\xc3\\xbcrich and inspire AG, is a rapidly growing applied research group that focuses on robotics challenges in the industry. Utilizing advanced computational methods, machine learning, modeling, and custom hardware, we address the industry\\\'s pressing issues and test solutions in real-world projects. Our engineers support research by creating tailored hardware and software platforms while adopting the best engineering and project management practices. \\n

We seek a dynamic and versatile Research Engineer with a talent for organization. The ideal candidate is keen to learn the intricacies of managing complex projects, understand the agile-waterfall spectrum, and wants to discover how to craft and refine tailored processes to meet specific challenges. \\n

Tasks \\n

  • \\n
  • Lead and manage a substantial (6-10 person-years) applied research project with one of our industry partners.\\n
  • Engage in weekly one on one mentorship sessions on technical project management including system design with the group leader.\\n
  • Implement research findings and collaborate with our researchers to innovate as needed.\\n
  • Supervise multiple smaller projects and initiatives concurrently.\\n
  • Work as a research robotics engineer within your team.\\n
  • Support the initiation of new projects and foster collaborations with industry and research partners.\\n
Requirements \\n

  • \\n
  • A Master\\xe2\\x80\\x99s degree in a relevant field from a renowned university.\\n
  • Engineering experience, demonstrated by a proven track record of building complex electro-mechanical systems, inclusive of software, algorithms, and perception.\\n
  • Demonstrable organizational skills and the ability to make decisions independently.\\n
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.\\n
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C++.\\n
  • Previous involvement in a \\xe2\\x80\\x9cFocus project\\xe2\\x80\\x9d at ETHZ MAVT is a significant advantage (please highlight this in your CV).\\n
