Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is working with a small trading company based in Lugano, with a product focus of Steel and related Raw materials. Our client is looking for a junior trader to join their team to work closely with the company founder.
We are interested in candidates with some industry experience with Steel and associated raw materials, looking to develop their career within trading.
Responsibilities:

• Develop relationships with Steel industry professionals including Steel Mills/ Raw material producers and end users
• Work alongside Senior Trading staff to aid in an operational and commercial capacity to develop skills and increase activity
• Help make sure all queries are met and deliveries are completed correctly
• Network with counterparties and actively generate new business across steel and related raw materials to build up your own book of clients
• Service existing clients, follow leads and act as cover for other traders when necessary

Experience:

• Looking for at least 1-year relevant experience within a metal trading house
• Must be hard working, ambitious and able to work independently
• Ability to cope well in a busy environment
• Good existing understanding of the steel industry and desire to learn more
• Must speak English and Italian fluently
