The research activities at Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology of the University of Zurich and University Hospital Zurich are directed towards translating innovative therapies to the clinics. Specifically, we focus on non-viral T-cell engineering to design approaches of immunotherapy against hematological neoplasia, in collaboration with Wyss Zurich Translational Center. Different research groups in the department are closely working towards these goals, through the use of cutting edge technologies for cellular and molecular immunotherapy, genome editing, pharmacological screenings, xenograft models and bioimaging.
Your responsibilities
Working together with the team, your main duties include:Be responsible for the manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) regulated by Swissmedic
Project-specific practical work in the cleanroom including associated documents
Creates and revise GMP-relevant documents
Follow the instructions of the quality management system
Participate in internal training course
Coordination with researchers for organization of experiments
General laboratory management, ordering, organization of biologicals and chemicals, as well as maintenance of laboratory equipment
Your profile
The position requires training as a Laboratory Technician or Master of Science and preferably at least 2-year experience in the lab, including skills for human T cell expansion and culture. We are looking for someone with excellent organization and writing skills, reliability, and the ability to perform tasks with strict adherence to GMP principles. Additional skills: dependable and able to work well within a team, possesses a high attention to detail. Prior hands-on experience with basic laboratory equipment and practices will be highly valued. The job requires proficient German skills and a good level of communication in English.
