Top skills needed - Cisco (ISE) Meraki, NAC (Network Access Control), CCNP / CCNA (ideally), Some Security (Fortinet. FortiGate, firewalls)
Aside from a TOP LAN engineer who knows Cisco ISE and Meraki and lots about switches and access points, we also need someone who understand the Security topics as this impacts your job; Security in the form of Fortinet/FortiGate and firewalls.
This is an office based job in Zurich.
4 days in office. 1 remote.
Strong German language required for workshops, meetings, written German also.
Permanent, full time job for a dynamic, solid firm whose hear beats on the Swiss German side of Switzerland.
The LAN Engineer will enjoy maintaining and installing customer network infrastructures.
The ideal candidate is :
Technical Expertise
- Cisco Switching: Experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Cisco switching environments.
- Meraki Access Points: Proficient in the configuration, deployment, and management of Meraki wireless access points to deliver reliable and high-performance WLAN networks.
- Security Know-how (Fortinet): Knowledge in configuring and managing FortiGate firewalls is an advantage.
- Certifications: A valid CCNA or CCNP certification is required to demonstrate technical competence and expertise in the mentioned areas.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform installations, configurations, and maintenance of Campus LAN environments on customer sites.
- Consult and support customers in planning and implementing network projects.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis, providing technical support for network issues.
- Document all completed work and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Typically you will be thinking of an office of 20 people or 100 people.
We are thinking about an entire building and all the 15 floors.
We are also thinking BIG: example; an entire village or city that you will be in charge of:
i.e. setting up 5 Schools
Setting up the police station.
Settling up the post office.
Setting up the football stadium and all that comes with it (both on pitch and off).
Dental practise
Government, Municipal Building and the appropriate servers, datacentres, connections, docking station, authorities to access and so on!!
