We are seeking a skilled and reliable

Laundry Attendant

to join a professional team serving a collection of

3, 4, and 5-star hotels

in the Appenzell region. The ideal candidate will bring experience from a

4-star or higher

hospitality environment and possess strong knowledge of commercial laundry operations, including the correct use of equipment, cleaning products, and fabric care techniques.

In this hands-on role, you will manage all laundry tasks independently -- from washing and pressing to

sewing repairs

and maintaining linens, towels, and bathrobes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment (washers, dryers, presses, and steamers). Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold all linens, towels, uniforms, bathrobes, and guest laundry. Perform sewing and mending tasks (e.g. repairing bathrobes, stitching seams, minor fabric repairs). Handle luxury fabrics and delicate materials with precision and care. Monitor and use cleaning products and chemicals correctly and safely. Ensure all laundry is processed to meet the hotel's high-quality presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the laundry area. Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly. Coordinate with housekeeping teams to ensure timely supply of clean linens and uniforms.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a

4-star or 5-star hotel laundry

environment. Strong knowledge of laundry processes, fabric care, and stain removal. Ability to

sew and carry out small repairs

independently. Reliable, organised, and detail-oriented. Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team. Basic German or English language skills preferred.
