Job Description

For our client, a renowned international insurance company in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced Lead/Senior ABS Solution Architect & Developer. In this role, you will take the lead in designing, developing, and enhancing global ABS components within the Claims domain. The ideal candidate brings deep ABS/CISL expertise, strong Java skills, and the ability to guide and coordinate a distributed development team.
Your Task:

• Act as a technical lead for our client's ABS Claims development initiatives
• Coordinate and align developers across multiple international locations (DE, CH, ES, India)
• Design and implement global ABS software components, integrating both global and local requirements
• Guide and mentor developers on technical implementation and adaptation of ABS components
• Ensure high-quality delivery through code reviews, unit testing, and system integration testing
• Support architectural decision-making and contribute to the evolution of the ABS ecosystem
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and SMEs within the Claims area
• Drive progress proactively within an agile environment

Your Profil:

• 10+ years of experience as a Senior or Lead Developer
• Strong experience within international, distributed teams
• Minimum 3 years of ABS development experience, ideally with a focus on Claims File
• Strong knowledge of ABS, CISL, CISLv2 (core knowledge required) as well as proven experience with ABS/CISL extensions
• Knowledge of the ABS Business Layer (Claims focus is an advantage)
• Experience with ABS Core PlugIn is a plus
• Understanding of standard Claims business process flows is beneficial
• Strong Java development skills (Java 12+)
• Experience with OSGi, Eclipse Plug-ins
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, REST APIs
• Experience with Git (branching, PRs, merges)
• JUnit testing experience
• Nice to have: Camunda, Azure Cloud

Fluent in English, German is a plus
