with a global footprint is looking for a

Lead DevOps Engineer - Cloud Application

to join their advanced Software Development Center in Zurich. You will play a key role in building a next-generation, cloud-ready platform used to control high-precision laboratory instrumentation and process complex scientific data.


This is a unique opportunity to lead a talented DevOps team and shape infrastructure that supports high-impact, globally distributed software solutions.

Your Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a DevOps team of 10 engineers Own and manage the DevOps activity backlog, working closely with project managers Collaborate with architects, test automation specialists and development teams Design, implement and test deployment strategies for cloud-native applications Automate deployment processes for test and production environments Select and integrate monitoring and diagnostic tools to ensure performance and reliability Provide expert input on system architecture and infrastructure design Promote DevOps best practices across teams, including container orchestration and CI/CD

What We're Looking For

Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related technical field Several years of experience leading technical DevOps or infrastructure teams Expertise in Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code Strong background in deploying and securing containerized systems (Docker, Kubernetes) in cloud and on-prem environments Proficiency in scripting or programming (C#, Python, Shell) Solid knowledge of Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure and CI/CD processes * Excellent English communication skills (German is a plus)
