\\n The Centre for Health and Healthcare works to identify and scale up solutions for more resilient, efficient, and equitable healthcare systems to deliver the best possible care and keep global populations healthy, happy, and thriving. The Centre achieves this by engaging a diverse set of stakeholders from international organizations, academic institutions, pharmaceutical and biomedical companies, healthcare NGOs, hospitals, healthcare providers, consumer industries, investors, innovators, infrastructure, and insurance organizations to positively shape the global health agenda.\\n

\\n Within this remit, the Centre for Health and Healthcare aims to drive and champion issues that mobilize global action and resources needed to address major areas of unmet need. The Centre engages in various regional and international policy processes and multilateral fora that shape the global health agenda including the G20, G7, WHO and UN. In tandem, how we communicate, and drive impact internally and externally is critical. To support and drive increased impact and reach, we are hiring a Lead, Policy and Communications.\\n

\\n Reporting lines & interactions\\n
\\n
\\n The Lead, Policy and Communications, will report to the Head of Centre for Health & Healthcare. S/he will also work closely with the Centre\\xe2\\x80\\x99s Leadership Team, Centre Initiative Leads, and be the contact point between the Centre and the Forum\\xe2\\x80\\x99s Regional, Central Public Affairs and Communications teams. With a strong focus on policy, the role will be 70/30% split between policy and communication.\\n

\\n Main responsibilities\\n
\\n
\\n
\\n Policy Engagement\\n
\\n
  • \\n
  • Serve as the Centre Lead for key International Processes to drive strategic Centre engagement, participation, visibility and influence\\xe2\\x80\\x93 highlighting the Forum\\xe2\\x80\\x99s strategic leadership on key topics. This includes but is not limited to G7, G20, and COP.\\n
  • Drive the Centre\\xe2\\x80\\x99s visibility and impact (together with programming and Centre\\xe2\\x80\\x99s Leadership team) in key international policy fora.\\n
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of senior policy makers directly and through regional teams that lead to higher engagement of policy makers in our initiatives and events.\\n
  • Keep abreast of and analyse the implications of key global and regional-level policy changes.\\n
  • Identify related opportunities to inform policy at global or national level in priority countries and areas connected to the Centre work and work with Centre initiatives to inform about and pursue new opportunities.\\n

\\n Communications\\n
\\n
  • \\n
  • Design and implement the communication strategy for the Centre and Centre Initiatives. Develop the supporting material for media intervention\\n
  • Develop and manage the Centre\\xe2\\x80\\x99s overall communications planning and strategies, in close collaboration with Centre leadership and Forum media and digital teams\\n
  • Coordinate with the media team to manage, strategize and prioritize Centre media engagement, such as Centre spokespersons\\xe2\\x80\\x99 interview engagement\\n
  • Be the focal point between the Centre and the Global Communications team\\n
\\n
\\n
\\n Preferred requirements and experience\\n
\\n
  • \\n
  • Advanced university degree in public health policy, business, or other relevant fields.\\n
  • 8-10+ years of professional experience with significant knowledge of the health and healthcare policy.\\n
  • Deep knowledge of and direct experience engaging in international policy processes focused on health and healthcare policies (e.g. G20, G7, COP etc).\\n
  • Experience in crafting public policy on health-related topics and broad knowledge of the World Economic Forum and its activities are assets for this position.\\n
  • Proven record of relevant thought leadership, including published articles, presentations in international forums, and conference participations\\n
  • Ability to quickly develop and effectively communicate clear perspectives on strategic issues combined with excellent presentation and facilitation skills.\\n
  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English; other languages are an asset\\n
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing high impact communications and media strategies in healthcare tailored to a range of audiences and channels.\\n
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills, including the ability to forge strategic relationships and collaborate with internal (Forum) and external stakeholders.\\n
  • Executive level presence and presentation skills with the ability to interact efficiently and confidently with global leaders.\\n
  • A flexible, agile, and politically astute mindset necessary for working with fast-paced teams in dynamic environments.\\n
  • Outstanding command of English, with excellent written, digital, and verbal communication skills; knowledge of other languages would be an asset.\\n
  • Ability to successfully navigate change, ambiguity, and uncertainty.\\n
  • Ability to understand multi-stakeholder interests, align those to meaningful societal action and drive impact.\\n
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Excel/PowerPoint and recent digital platforms.\\n
  • Proven interest in social issues, high degree of personal integrity and values in line with the mission of the World Economic Forum.\\n
  • Ability to travel internationally.\\n
