Besides our main ERP system on basis of SAP S/4HANA we also take care of a huge system landscape consisting of 70+ SAP and non-SAP systems. This position requires technical SAP know-how, hands-on experience with various SAP technologies, analytical and structured thinking and experience in project management.

As the Lead SAP Basis Applications and Services, you will play a key role in shaping the future SAP landscape in Sika and driving scalable digital solutions. Lead a highly skilled team, overseeing SAP Basis and SAP Security related aspects, technical innovation projects, and Solution Manager activities.

Together with your inhouse team and the related Service Partner you will manage the highly innovative environment based on latest SAP technologies by full utilization of IT processes and tools within the capability. Furthermore, you will be in driving seat of:

• Maintaining and ensuring the operation of the SAP system landscape consisting of S/4 systems as ERP, EWM and Transport Management as well as GTS, PO, BW, Solution Manager and many satellite systems (SAP and non-SAP systems)
• Coordinate SAP system copies, migrations, patches, updates, upgrades, add-on installations with various internal and external stakeholders
• Strategic and operational development of the department and the supported applications and services - permanently identify opportunities for improvements
• You coordinate the technical requirements in liaison with the SAP functional teams, the infrastructure team, the development and integration team and external partners - transform and optimize the SAP system landscape
• You ensure the governance of the Business Technology Platform (BTP) - maintain and permanently improve in a joint administration with the DCI team
• You define and follow up on Service Level Agreements (SLA) with the Service Partner with respect to the requirements of the business
• You implement IT Service Management processes to support the ongoing optimization of our landscape
• You are on top of the SAP roadmap in terms of technical development and features to assure that the Sika SAP environment is always based on latest technologies
• Lead and inspire a talented team, ensuring their growth and success with strong focus on continuous development of self-management principles
• Staff management and coaching of your team members
• Responsibility for project management, project coordination, budgeting, and continuous operational efficiency
• Implement and continuously improve service as a culture

We Need Your Skills

• Completed computer science, information technology studies or relevant qualification, 10+ years experience
• Several years of experience as an SAP basis expert with deep basis functional and technical knowledge, ideally in the SAP S/4HANA environment - hands-on personality
• SAP technical project management experience, (e.g. major upgrade projects, cloud migration)
• Fast comprehension and perception, structured way of working, and high service orientation
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary groups and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Leadership skills, decision-making ability, as well as unerring and professional implementation of decisions made
• Experienced in Service Delivery Management and the ability to work together and coordinate an external service partner
• Good track record of smooth and stable running systems in an international and complex environment
• Security experience especially in the field of SAP and its authentication methods
• Experience in archiving and data tiering
• Communicative and outgoing personality who sees the big picture and stays up to date with latest state-of-the-art technologies
• Fluent in English, German is a big plus
