As a Legal Counsel and an outstanding all-rounder, you will support the Linxon group globally with respect to corporate and commercial matters, including but not limited to data protection and integrity matters and report to the Chief Legal Officer.
What will you do?
As a pro-active, ethical, business-minded and out-of-the-box thinker, you will draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, both internally and externally. Such commercial agreements could include finance, insurance and banking arrangements, including review of bank and corporate guarantees, credit facility agreements and other similar agreements
Develop framework and monitor compliance regarding Data Privacy and Data Governance in the role of Data Privacy Officer as well as spearhead AI Governance with support of other team members
Assist in development and implementation of procedures and templates to help mitigate legal risks through design and implementation of Linxon policies and procedures, including the already well-established Integrity program
Lead process optimization and technology development to develop best practices in relation to the Legal function, including furthering the usage of AI
Assist in internal audits and internal investigations in relation to Integrity
Assist Hub Legal leads to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations
Work closely with other global functions for example, Finance, Treasury, Insurance, HR, Supply Chain etc. on internal and external matters
Liaise with external legal counsel and manage associated costs
Experience required
The candidate (he/she) is required to have good experience in working for a law firm or as in-house counsel for a multinational corporation with specific experience in corporate matters, data privacy and compliance.
Sound commercial and business law background with a good experience related to corporate commercial matters
Excellent proficiency in English, any other languages a plus, especially German
Confident, ethical team player with excellent drafting skills and attention to detail and ability to show leadership
Willing to travel occasionally to project sites and offices globally
Ability to work as part of a small close-knit team, in a demanding, fast-paced, multilingual and multidisciplinary environment, driven by value addition and business sustainability
A strategic communicator, self-motivated, with a commercial, practical, detail- oriented and dynamic approach
Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices a definite bonus
Formal Education and Training Required:
Degree in Law from a reputable university
Member in good standing of a bar association
