\\n Our client is an international commodities company is seeking a qualified Swiss or Common-Law lawyer to act as a Legal Counsel. Based in our client\\\'s Lugano office the role is reporting to the Senior In-House Counsel.

The role requires a lawyer with a minimum of 3 years PQE with a good understanding of commercial transactions relating to trading, investments and commercial operations. Preparation and reviewing of term sheets, complex purchase and sale contracts for structured transactions.

Additionally, you will provide legal support and research relating to all matters covering contract law, due diligence and anti-bribery and anti-corruption law including employment law. Dealing with claims and management of legal, insurance and regulatory proceedings. Review internal policies regarding regulatory and legal updates particularly for market developments in Europe, Asia and the CIS regions. Co-ordinate transactions processes working closely with traders and senior management.

To be suitable for this role, you need to bring at least 3 years experience working for a large Swiss or international law firm. Having dealt with drafting of documents in English. A Masters Degree in Law (preferably Bar admitted). English or Swiss qualifications are preferable. Experience in advising trading companies and / or international EPC contractors. Knowledge of compliance related business, KYC, AML and anti-bribery for Swiss, UK and US Sanctions is a major plus. Fluent English written and spoken, another European language ie Italian, German or French would be beneficial.
