Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Respond to communications from Swiss authorities and requests for information from third parties.
  • Organise, coordinate, edit, and review presentations and associated materials for the Board of Directors and shareholder meetings.
  • Management of Commercial Register entries for relevant staff members across all branches.
  • Assist with submissions to FINMA and conduct other tasks for the Corporate Secretary function.
  • Manage policies and contracts for the bank.
  • Handle inheritance cases.
  • Address client complaints.
  • Provide daily legal support for various projects, ensuring legal considerations are integrated into business responses and strategies.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from Front Office and other support functions, providing legal support as required.
  • Assist with Lombard credit requests and draft associated loan documentation.
  • Maintain legal templates and information documents on the bank's intranet to support the Front Office.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Swiss law; further qualifications are a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a legal counsel or corporate governance role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Deep understanding of Swiss regulatory frameworks and corporate governance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German; French is a plus.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
  • A proactive team player with a flexible approach, initiative, and enthusiasm for contributing to the bank's success.
