To reinforce our team in Lausanne, Switzerland, we are seeking a

Job tasks
Reporting to the Head of the Legal and Technology Transfer Office (LTTO), the successful candidate will contribute to the Institute's legal and contractual activities and support compliance matters in cooperation with scientific partners and institutions.Draft and review a wide range of agreements with the academic and industrial partners of the Institute, including consortium agreements, research contracts, software licenses, consultancy and confidentiality agreements Support the Head of LTTO on legal matters related to various projects, in particular on contract negotiation and drafting, compliance matters Assist the SIB Data Protection Officer, in particular with the management of the register of processing activities, updating internal regulations, and providing data protection training to staff Conduct legal research and advice on matters related to intellectual property, data protection, human research law, medical devices ordinance as well as contractual, labor, and administrative law Ensure the proper administrative management of the LTTO including electronic and physical management of contracts, follow-up of legal and contractual deadlines

Profile requirements

Education and experience

Law degree from a Swiss University and 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Officer or equivalent

Technical skills

Proven practical experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements in the field of medical research and technology transfer Excellent knowledge of Swiss and EU legislation on data protection and research involving human beings Good knowledge of intellectual property law, open-source licenses and medical devices regulations Proficiency in English and French, including the ability to draft contracts in both languages, knowledge of German is an asset
