About the opportunity:

Sony AI is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven individual with expertise in Machine Learning Engineering on an internship contract. We\\xe2\\x80\\x99re currently looking for smart, enthusiastic people who want to join our team of world-renowned researchers as we push the boundaries applying AI in support of human creativity. In this role, the successful candidate will contribute to our groundbreaking flagship project in AI for Chip Design.

Your responsibilities:

• Contribute to the creation, optimization, and automation of data pipelines
• Automate the storage, re-use, pre-processing, and labeling of data coming from chip design
• Contribute to the exploration of state-of-the-art tooling for data science
• Interface the data tooling pipeline with the application software environment as well as multiple code bases/repositories
• Write reports and give presentations for internal audiences
• Write code to support research, usually in Python, C++, Shell Scripting
• Work closely with a team of AI researchers and engineers in the US, Switzerland, and Japan on ambitious AI projects

You will have:

• Background in computer science or information systems (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.)
• Experience with infrastructure and tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD frameworks, benchmarking platforms, unit testing, etc. is a plus
• Accomplished projects with existing cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud are a plus
• Mastering of Python, and frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
• Good programming skills using C++ and Shell scripting
• knowledge of Unix, Linux, Package Management Systems, Databases
• Outstanding oral and written English
