Position Summary

This position is responsible for managing distribution, transportation, and import/export operations throughout the International Logistics network, ensuring shipment and on-time availability of products from manufacturing sites, via logistics hubs, to market distributions centers.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain monthly shipping plan in liaison with the Inventory & Replenishment management, the External Manufacturing team, and the Internal Manufacturing team. Inform Finance, Global Planning and affiliates about the achieved deliveries (previous month) and the forecasted planning (next month).
  • Coordinate and execute all transfers from the Manufacturing sites (internal & external) to the Hubs. Book trucks via forwarding agent and other partners, prepare all necessary shipping documents, monitor until delivery and review invoices. Perform system transactions in real-time. Inform Hubs and Manufacturing sites by transmitting all corresponding shipping details and documents.
  • Coordinate and execute all shipments from the Hubs (Fiege, UPS NL, etc.) to the Logistics Service Providers and other Contract Service Providers according to the monthly shipping plan. Including all other Non-commercial demand (Named Patient Program, Clinical, samples, IMSC, etc.) Book truck/airfreight/small pack via forwarding agent, prepare all necessary shipping documents, monitor until delivery and review invoices. Perform system transactions in real-time. Inform Contract Service Providers by transmitting all corresponding shipping details and documents.
  • Document and maintain route mapping for each destination.
  • Handle specific transportation requirements as per quality risk assessments (e.g. thermo blankets, temperature loggers protocol, etc.).
  • Create and process Deviations when incidents occur during transport and/or at storage locations (Fiege, Switzerland and UPS NL)
  • Responsible of the MPC/apprentice training within the department
  • Support and leads projects as assigned
  • Monitor team performance and drive improvement actions
  • Ensure the appropriate EHS, GDP and cGMP standards are maintained
  • Support GDP (Good Distribution Practices) activities as defined in relevant procedures

Required Competencies
  • Numerate, well organized, flexible and have good attention to detail

  • Ability to drive processes and decisions to closure, is persistent in reaching the goals
  • Fluent in English
Required Qualifications and desired experience
  • At least 5 to 8 years\\xe2\\x80\\x99 experience in logistics, transportation, import/export, GDP.
  • ERP system experience required, high level of computer literacy (Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Knowledge of Preferential Rules of Origin in Regional Trade agreement
