Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As part of Global Supply Chain Management, Global Procurement is responsible for the strategic category and supplier management of all direct categories. Under consideration of innovation, cost, quality and availability we strive to develop procurement to a competitive advantage for METTLER TOLEDO. To support our team, we are looking for our operational headquarter in Greifensee, Zurich for a Market Technology Engineer 100% (all genders)
In this role, your responsibilities would include:
Electronics & electrical category strategy development & promotion in close collaboration with the commercial counterparts and key internal stakeholders (R&D, product manager, head of various departments, etc.). Implementation in close collaboration with the commercial counterparts and Sourcing Engineers
Full understanding of mid- & long-term market developments to challenge existing MT stakeholders' requirements. Guide MT towards a future proven, mid- & long-term strategy that offers best in class cost, quality, delivery resilience & sustainability
Deliver technical expertise to whole MT for the assigned category & technology scopes, considering market intelligence, product and production process know-how
Build-up, monitor and improve a KPI to measure the long-term success of the strategies
Lead multi-unit, cross-functional global projects, and support both regional and global implementation
Apply industry best practices to identify savings opportunities, and initiate transfers in close collaboration with the commercial counterparts and Sourcing Engineers
Define an assortment strategy to reduce complexity, achieve ESG and risk management targets in close collaboration with the commercial counterparts and Sourcing Engineers
What You Need to Succeed
Following requirements are necessary for this role:
You got an academical degree in electrical engineering or related field
You bring at least 2 years of work experience in R&D, field application engineering or related functions
Experience in strategy development, implementation supply chain management, consulting, or related field in a global matrix driven organization with familiarity in end-to-end processes is a plus
You are a proficient user of MS Office and IT savvy in general
You have strong strategy and project management skills with the ability to deal with complex initiatives and to lead through persuasion on all levels and cultures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required with proven record of successfully presenting to all levels of a global organization
You are an open-minded and engaged personality with independent working method and proactive communication skills
You must be willing to travel globally approximately 10 - 20% of the time
