The Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Through its collaboration with the University of Lausanne - Faculty of Biology and Medicine and the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), the CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research and training.


The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism service (Department of Medicine) is launching a multi-centric randomized double-blind clinical trial to evaluate the impact of a hormonal treatment (gonadorelin) on cognition and other clinical, biological and imaging parameters in patients with trisomy 21 based on promising pilot study (Manfredi-Lozano M et al., Science, 2022). The candidate will help carry out the clinical study in a multidisciplinary environment.

Mission

As a member of our team, you will carry out clinical visits of patients at the CHUV Centre including cognitive tests You will be in charge of the recruitment of patients and inclusion visits You will participate to the investigations of patients recruited from other centers (Basel, Geneva - Regular transit between recruitment centers expected) You will do analyses of the samples and data You will participate to the invertigations of patients recruited from other centers (e.g. Basel - Regular transit between recruitment centers possible).

Profil

You have a Diploma in medicine; at least 1 year of clinical experience is preferred You are fluent in French, English and German You have got organizational skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team You are fluent in French, English and possibly German.
