What You'll Do
Design enclosures and radomes that are lightweight, durable, and RF-transparent
Perform structural analysis to withstand vibration, shock, and wind loads
Select advanced materials balancing strength, weight, and corrosion resistance
Develop mounting and integration solutions for vehicles, UAVs, towers, and stationary systems
Ensure precise alignment and stability of radar during operation
Collaborate with electrical engineers on internal component layouts
Design and validate passive and active cooling solutions such as heat sinks, conduction plates, and fans
Conduct thermal simulations and testing to keep electronics safe under extreme conditions
Implement sealing, gasketing, and coatings to meet IP and MIL-STD environmental standards
Prototype, test, and refine designs in real-world environments
Create and maintain CAD models and engineering drawings in Siemens NX and TC
Support manufacturing and vendors to ensure quality and scalability
Requirements
What Youll Need
Strong proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter
Solid experience with mechanical FEA and thermal simulation tools
Deep understanding of materials science across metals, composites, and polymers
Experience designing for environmental sealing (IP65/IP67 or MIL-STD compliance)
Knowledge of precision assemblies, tolerancing, and ruggedized electronics enclosures
Background in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability industries
Familiarity with radar, RF systems, or high-frequency electronics packaging
Understanding of MIL-STD-810 or comparable environmental testing standards
