Mechanical Design Engineer (f/m/d)

Development of mechanical and opto-mechanical system architecture of a complete product in the field of lidar and imaging optics
Collaboration with physicists, electronics and mechanical engineers to develop a complete system
Collaborating with product management, software engineers and other important stakeholders
Design of opto-mechanic system architecture in Siemens NX
Engage in technical negotiations with suppliers
Interactions with suppliers and participation in processes to access component and assembly's manufacturability
Design and validation of prototypes to series production
Manage prototype- and product testing
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes within the R&D Team
This is you
University background in mechanical engineering or equivalent
A flair for number-crunching & theoretical aspects of mechanics / physics
Familiar with ISO GPS and 3D design in CAD system
Experience in opto-mechanics and sensorics is a plus
Entrepreneurial mindset, a proactive attitude and a hands-on mentality
Open-minded team player with great interpersonal and communication skills
You enjoy working in an interdisciplinary and international team using English and German
