Your mission

As a

Network Specialist / Network Security Engineer

, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and security of our network infrastructure. Your mission includes:

Network and Security Design, Deployment, and Maintenance

Plan, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance networks for internal and customer environments. Implement robust security measures, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and access control.

Customer Project Support

Design and implement tailored network and security solutions for customer projects. Serve as a key technical expert in customer consultations, solving complex networking and security challenges.

Fortinet Solution Expertise

Manage and optimize Fortinet technologies (e.g., FortiGate, FortiWAF, FortiEMS, FortiGuard SOCaaS, FortiSIEM) to ensure secure and efficient operations.

Cross-Team Collaboration

Work closely with internal teams and customers to align networking and security needs with organizational goals.

Mentoring and Team Development

Provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence.

Documentation and Continuous Improvement

Maintain detailed documentation and SOPs, ensuring adherence to best practices. Stay updated on emerging networking and security trends, recommending innovative solutions.

Your profile

As an ideal candidate for this role, you possess the following:

Experience

Strong background as a Network Specialist or Network Security Engineer, with experience in both infrastructure and customer-facing projects. Expertise in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex network and security environments.

Technical Knowledge

In-depth understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs), routing, switching, and firewalls. Hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiWAF, FortiEMS, FortiGuard SOCaaS, FortiSIEM). Familiarity with cloud-based networking (e.g., hybrid cloud, SD-WAN) is a plus.

Security Focus

Solid understanding of network security principles, including vulnerability management and intrusion prevention. Experience with security event monitoring and response tools.

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams and customers. You are fluent in spoken and written English; German language skills are a plus.

Certifications (Preferred)

Relevant certifications such as CCNP, JNCIS, or Fortinet NSE are highly desirable.#
