\\n New Ingredient Process Research & Development Lead

Work Location: La Plaine, Geneva, Switzerland

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead & develop new ingredient process research & development group (team of 20 scientists & technicians)
• Provide scientific and project leadership on route scouting programs towards novel ingredients for perfumery & taste creations
• Implement innovative chemistry methodologies & technologies up to industrial scale
• Develop strong relationships with internal customers in Perfumery & Beauty and Taste, Texture & Health Business Units
• Ensure cross-functional interactions with the global scientific innovation community
• Maintain facilities and equipment & propose investments towards increased digitalization & automation

You bring us:

• PhD or equivalent in Organic Chemistry with focused expertise in synthetic chemistry. Experience in photoredox or homogenous catalysis, industrial scale-up and/or continuous flow chemistry are a plus.
• 5-10 years of industrial experience in the field of Synthetic Organic Chemistry (chemical methodology & industrial scale-up)
• Proven people & project management skills and ability to facilitate change
• Passion for chemical innovation
• Data driven approach to project ideation, planning, prioritization, and execution
• Fluent in English, proficiency in French is an asset
