Operations Trainee (Tour Success)

We are now looking for an entrepreneurial individual with attention to detail and a nothing is impossible attitude to join our Operations department in Zurich.

As a part of the Tour Success team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations of all European tours, both before and during tours as well as following up on customer experience after they return home.

This is a full-time trainee position with a start date of January 15th, 2024, and an end date of August 31st, 2024. The role will require 5 days in the office for the first 3 months and after that can move to a hybrid role (minimum 3 days in the office).

Salary: CHF 40.000/yearly

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As a Trainee you will support the operations staff (Tour Success Team) in providing culturally immersive travel for North American students who choose to discover the world with us through group travel. Your main role is to assist our team in ensuring a beautiful experience for our customers both leading up to, and during the program.

Main areas of responsibility:
  • Providing emergency telephone service for operational cases (taking calls, logging cases, resolving cases).
  • Provide on-tour support and assist with the operational tasks required to produce a tour.
  • Assisting with group bookings for business partners, museums, and activities throughout Europe.
  • Handle late tour changes such as late additions and cancellations of travelers.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Showcasing adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment
  • Calm under pressure and can handle competing priorities, high call/email volume with a sense of urgency
  • Organizational skills and great attention to detail
  • Fluent in English. Additional languages are an advantage (Spanish, Greek, Italian, German, French or Portuguese)
  • Must be legally able to work in Switzerland, through a European passport or a valid, renewable work permit
Please note that this is a 7-month traineeship (until end of August 2024) Successful trainees may be offered full-time roles after the traineeship depending on availability and performance.
