We are currently looking for a motivated and collaborative professional to join our Intellectual Property Department based at our Headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland as



IP Paralegal (80-100%)



We are seeking an experienced and proactive IP Paralegal to become the central owner of our IP operations and docketing system. This role is the backbone of our IP department, overseeing the full lifecycle and ensuring the integrity of our global patent portfolio (approximately 90% of the role) and supporting our trademark portfolio (up to 10%).



The ideal candidate is a professionally trained IP paralegal with deep expertise in global patent procedures. You will report to the Head of IP Operations and work closely with our IP attorneys and inventors to provide seamless procedural support while actively identifying and driving process improvements.



Your Mission



Manage the IP docketing and document management systems, ensuring accurate data and timely tracking of critical deadlines. Handle e-fillings and correspondence with EPO (myEPO) and WIPO (ePCT) and prepare required formal documents (POAs, Assignments, IDS). Coordinate with foreign counsel for national phase entries, Paris Convention filings, EP validations and subsequent prosecution. Manage trademark filings, prosecution, renewals, and availability searches across CH, EUIPO, and WIPO. Supervise annuity and renewal payments for patents and trademarks. Provide operational and financial support (invoice review, budget input, signature coordination). Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency across IP operations.

Requirements



Your profile



Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an IP Paralegal, with strong exposure to global patent prosecution (PCT, EPO). BA degree; a Paralegal certificate or diploma is a strong asset. Professional fluency in English; French proficiency is a plus. Expert user of IP docketing systems and high proficiency with myEPO and ePCT e-filing platforms. Experience managing global patent annuity payments. Working knowledge of trademark filing and prosecution (WIPO, EUIPO, Swiss IPI). Exceptional attention to detail, strong prioritization, and excellent organizational skills. Proactive, accountable, autonomous communicator able to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external counsel.
