Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is working with an international ship broking firm looking to expand their Panamax desk in Geneva through the addition of a European focused dry Panama broker.
Responsibilities:

• Work with charterers and shipowners on providing up to date market information and coverage on available Panamax vessels and usage requirements
• Establish relationships with trading houses
• Work with the operations team to ensure compliance with compliance/operational requirements
• Actively develop new relationships and grow existing client base
• Up-sell other services of the business across new building, demolition, S&P, offshore, and FFA services

Experience:

• 5+ years experience focused on dry Panamax vessels
• Strong network of trading houses, shipowners, charterers and contacts in the space
• Ability to build and maintain relationships
• Previous experience in a dry freight focused physical shipbroker
