About the Role
As a Payments Analyst within our Finance Central Data Management team, you'll be at the intersection of compliance and payment security. You'll execute critical verification processes, evaluate fraud risks, and collaborate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders across the organization to ensure the integrity of our payment information while maintaining robust compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Execute compliance checks of clients and vendors according to predefined checklists and protocols
Evaluate fraud risk potential and escalate suspicious cases to the compliance team when necessary
Research independent databases to identify and verify client contact information
Contact clients and vendors directly to verify bank account details and payment information
Collaborate closely with Business Units and Group Functions on payment verification processes
Oversee local processes and perform regular sample checks to ensure compliance
Contribute to the design of system and process enhancements for payment verification
Assess alternatives to callback procedures and recommend process improvements
About the Team
The Finance Central Data Management team is responsible for master data management, data quality, and data governance for Finance. We ensure that financial data across the organization is accurate, consistent, and reliable, enabling informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.
About You
You are a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for compliance and security. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of payment verification. Your communication skills enable you to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders at all levels, and you approach compliance challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
Experience in financial services (mandatory)
Completed your apprenticeship in a relevant field
Strong communication skills to represent Swiss Re to clients and vendors
Fluency in at least three of the following languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian
Basic understanding of payment processes and (re)insurance
Proficiency in MS Office
These are additional nice to haves:
Ability to work diligently and document work consistently
Strong teamwork skills
Experience with master data management systems or payment systems
Knowledge of data governance principles
Understanding of security requirements and fraud prevention related to financial transactions
Experience with process improvement methodologies
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 77,000 CHF and 115,000 CHF for a full-time role.

In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
