For the Laboratory for Neutron Scattering and Imaging we are looking for a
PhD Student in Project 'Exploration of Magnetic Topologies by Neutron Scattering'
Your tasks

• Study magnetic orders and exitations of new materials that may host topological spin textures using neutron diffraction and inelastic neutron scattering. Collaborate with chemists on discovery and characterization of new magnetic topological materials
• Analyse experimental data solving magnetic structures and proposing exchange Hamiltonians. Interact with theoreticians on modeling of magnetic order, excitations and properties
• Publish results in scientific journals and present findings at scientific meetings

Your profile

• Master degree in physics or physical chemistry
• Knowledge of crystallography, neutron or x-ray scattering and magnetism
• High level of interest to numerical data analysis and/or computer simulation
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative and interdisciplinary research team
• Good communication skills in English
