For our site in Cham, Switzerland, we are currently looking for a Planner Buyer.

As a Planner Buyer, your role is critical in the procurement and management of goods to ensure the smooth functioning of the supply chain process. Your primary responsibility is to analyze, plan, and execute procurement strategies that optimize costs, inventory levels, and supplier relationships, all while meeting the organization\\\'s demands.

The Role:

• Responsible for planning and purchasing key raw materials as an outcome of the Material Requirements Planning process in close collaboration with our manufacturing sites and for reviewing forecasts/demand and their impact to material requirements
• Support customer owned material purchasing process by leading the relationship and performance monitoring
• Responsible for monitoring material supply status vs. Supply Plans, to anticipate potential issues, to setup priorities in alignment with key stakeholders, to set up contingency plans to ensure material on time and in full delivery and to identify root causes in case of delay to continuously mitigate risks.
• Responsible for daily processing purchase orders after review of purchase requisitions and alignment with Planning requirements
• Responsible for inventory management and reconciliation: Balancing inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations that can impact production and profitability.
• Responsible for monitoring and adjusting delivery dates according to suppliers order confirmations, for informing relevant stakeholders in case of delivery delays and/or changes impacting the Supply Chain
• First escalation level in case of material supply issues (internally and externally) and supporting Supply Chain and Global Procurement organizations is case of material supply crisis
• Contribute to the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the intercompany flows in close alignment with manufacturing sites.
• Support Global Procurement organization with Supplier Review Meetings and Supplier Relationship Management, as well as global sourcing activities as directed
• Support Phase-in/out of finished goods and raw materials
• Support the finance department with incoming invoices
• Collaboration in defined projects (e.g. new product lines)
• Support cost reduction, lead time reduction and inventory reduction programs with suppliers to support company goals
• Ensure compliance to the EU Good Manufacturing / Distribution Practices (GxP) for medicinal products and to the current Swissmedic regulations

The Candidate:

• Bachelor of Science or similar degree preferred and
• 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Raw Material or Finished Goods Planning / Procurement, preferably in the life-science industry
• Experienced in tools and technologies like ERP (MRP/BOM) (Oracle JDE and/or SAP)
• Analytical skills and affinity with numbers
• Very good time management and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and multi-tasking
• Active listening skills
• Extremely collaborative team player
• Proactive
• Detail-oriented
• Result focused & Problem solving
• Comfortable working under pressure
• APICS certification a plus
• Lean 6 Sigma certification a plus
