Who we're looking for
We are seeking an Analyst to join our Portfolio Management team in Zurich. As part of Schroders Capital, you will support the team in the ongoing management and analysis of our investment portfolios, as well as contribute to various reporting and strategic initiatives.
The team
Since forming in 1997, Schroders Capital's private equity business has successfully expanded into all areas of private equity - global Venture Capital, European and US buyouts, Asia Growth, with investment teams on the ground in Zurich, London, New York, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing and Seoul. The team comprises 70+ investment and risk management professionals and currently has AuM of USD 26bn. The role will be within the Global Portfolio Management team within Investment Management.
What you'll do
Portfolio Management Global Portfolios
Support portfolio management of the majority of Schroders Capital global private equity pools
Support planning and setting up commitment plans, cash flow planning and net asset value analyses
Development of a portfolio construction concept
Discuss and coordinate allocations and pipeline with all program teams
Support monitoring of the planned portfolio
Portfolio Management of Schroders Capital Semi-liquid Global Private Equity Fund (evergreen flagship fund)
Discuss and collect investment ideas with all teams globally
Support cash planning and overall coordination between all relevant stakeholders (sales, investment management, finance and product management)
Support monitoring of the planned portfolio
External representation
Support preparation for external events like conferences
Fundraising goals
Support preparation of client pitches and requests, and development of new marketing material
Platform/scalability
Drive development of internal tools and processes supporting scalability, growth and development of the firm
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
A top degree in Finance, Economics, Natural Sciences or Business Administration
At least 1 year of work experience in Private Equity investing, corporate finance or banking
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, good financial modelling skills
Fluent in English plus a local language for target region
