Your role

As Portfolio Manager/Analyst - Thematic Equities at Bank J. Safra Sarasin you are focused on Healthcare sector and responsible for: identifying high conviction stock ideas, conducting portfolio management and risk management activities, creation of thematic research publications, as well as development of analytical tools for the broader Thematic Equities team.

Your responsibilities

• Analyze and select stocks in the Health Care sector for a concentrated portfolio of high conviction ideas
• Discuss and present your investment cases to the equities team
• Co-manage a global thematic investment portfolio
• Perform reporting and administrative tasks across investment strategies in an efficient and effective way
• Present thematic equity investment strategy to internal and external clients
• Develop analytical tools and improve existing investment processes

Your profile

• University degree in a relevant field
• At least 3-5 years of practical experience in the field of equity analysis covering at least one of the following sectors: Pharma, Biotech, MedTech, Life Science Tools or other HealthCare-related industries
• Experience as a Portfolio Manager in an Asset Management environment or as a sell-side equity analyst is a plus
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills as well as experience with Bloomberg
• Quantitative analysis experience and knowledge of Python or other programming languages are a plus
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Hands-on mentality with the capability to work independently
• Fluency in English, German is a plus
