Your tasks

You will define and execute an ambitious independent research programme on quantum materials Your research will clearly take advantage of the complementarity between state-of-the-art techniques in neutron and photon science, prioritising use of the large-scale facilities at PSI and the UK You will perform additional support measurements such as bulk magnetic or electric characterisation You will perform data curation, advanced data analysis and modelling to support the research and interpretation of the data You will publish the results of your research in peer-reviewed journals, and present your findings at conferences and workshops

Your profile

You hold a PhD degree in experimental physics, chemistry, material sciences or an area clearly related to the main tasks Experience in neutron and/or photon science research, inc. data analysis, data curation, publication preparation Willingness to work flexible hours and during weekends when conducting experiments at large scale facilities You are fluent in English, display good communications skills, and enjoy working in team-oriented interdisciplinary environment
