Your responsibilities
-------------------------
Peptide-red blood cells (pcRBC) are an antigen-specific therapy for the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis (MS), currently undergoing clinical testing.
This postdoc position focuses on characterizing tolerance mechanisms induced by pcRBC in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) as a model for multiple sclerosis.
The project extends previously established foundations by defining the spatial organization of immunoregulatory microenvironments and the molecular mechanisms underlying antigen-specific suppression of pathogenic T-cell responses.
Your profile
----------------
We seek candidates with a PhD in immunology, biology, neuroscience, or a related field who have demonstrated expertise in autoimmune disease animal models, particularly EAE or similar in vivo inflammatory models.
You should have a strong background in flow cytometry, including multi-parameter analysis and cell sorting, along with experience in histological techniques and immunofluorescence microscopy.
Proficiency in molecular biology methods, including RNA isolation, qPCR, and transcriptomic data analysis, is required. Also, prior work with primary cell cultures and ex vivo systems is expected.
Your publication record should demonstrate experimental rigor and scientific writing ability.
English fluency is mandatory.
