For our pharmaceutical client based in Basel, we are looking for a Process Engineer / Operations Engineer (Process Engineering) (m/f/d)

Background:


In the Pharma Engineering Drug Substance Small Molecules division, we ensure the technical support and further development of the production facilities for manufacturing chemical active ingredients at the Roche site in Basel. We work in self-organized teams. This means a move away from rigid hierarchies towards a high degree of personal responsibility and collaborative coordination. Success in this position requires you to act proactively, structure your tasks independently, and actively contribute to the team. We are looking for individuals who think entrepreneurially and communicate decisions transparently. The position is initially vacant to temporarily strengthen our team and cover project peaks. If the collaboration is successful and there is a corresponding need, there is a clear possibility of long-term, external employment.

The ideal candidate

holds a degree in a technical or scientific field, particularly in process engineering, and has more than 5 years of experience in a GMP environment. Proficiency in standard PC applications and excellent written and spoken German skills are also essential.

Main tasks and responsibilities:


1. Engineering & Technical Planning P&ID Processing: Independent processing and maintenance of P&IDs in COMOS and ensuring data consistency Design Documentation (DQ): Creation of technical specifications (statements of work), data sheets, and technical drawings as a basis for execution Isometrics: Technical review and approval of isometrics and manufacturing documents for the pipeline construction companies
2. Project Management & Implementation (Construction) Trade Coordination: Management and coordination of the various trades (piping construction, instrumentation and control, automation, construction) for the planning, execution, and commissioning phases Construction Management: On-site supervision of the implementation to ensure assembly quality and compliance with safety regulations Resource Management: Ensuring that small projects are completed within the agreed scope, quality, budget, and deadlines
3. GMP Compliance, Qualification & Change Management Change Control: Definition and establishment of all necessary measures (organizational, technical, documentation) for the successful and compliant implementation of a change Verification (IQ/OQ): Creation of acceptance documentation (test plans, protocols) for verifying the installations and support during acceptance testing Documentation: Compilation of the complete "as-built" documentation and handover to the operator

Must-haves:


Completed technical or scientific degree (University of Applied Sciences/University/ETH) in process engineering, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, or a comparable field / completed advanced vocational training (Diploma in Engineering) with several years of relevant professional experience At least 5 years of experience in a GMP environment. You are thoroughly familiar with the regulations and requirements of pharmaceutical production. Proficient use of standard PC applications. Experience with Roche-specific systems (SAP, myBuy, ELIVS/COMOS) is a significant advantage. Excellent written and spoken German skills are essential for documentation and communication within the company. You work independently and are able to proactively identify and transparently manage tasks. You are a member of an interdisciplinary team and contribute to shared success through cooperation and communication. You have a sense of urgency, can effectively prioritize tasks, and take responsibility. You are able to write precise, technical texts and document efficiently.

Nice to have:


Excellent written and spoken English skills. Experience using Google Suite and openness to AI applications for process support.
