The Procurement/Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying innovative and competitive sourcing solutions and for supporting the development of relationships with strategic suppliers, manufacturers and networks of wholesalers. Part of a team including subject matter experts engaged with client, and market intelligence analysts collecting market data.

Being a team player, the individual will:

  • \\n
  • Convey the voice of clients to the suppliers in order to explain clinical supplies constraints, subsequently delivering actionable sourcing solutions fitting customer needs\\n
  • Convey the voice of suppliers to the Program and Project Managers and help to manage customer expectations\\n
  • Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and Market Intelligence analysts to make sure the current and relevant market information can be centralized and relayed internally\\n
  • Co-ordinate with the Quality department to align on supplier status and performance, as well as supporting product quality issues relating to supplier management\\n
  • In addition, you will also step in for other sourcing specialists and potentially for the Manager from time to time.\\n

Responsibilities:

Procurement/Sourcing

\\n
  • \\n
  • Own the sourcing solutions/strategies in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing and Market Intelligence teams for identified products.\\n
  • Utilise the Market Intelligence tools / data to identify best Sourcing solutions\\n
  • Support Sourcing requests for Global sites \\xe2\\x80\\x93 APAC and US, but not limited to.\\n
  • Open, new or develop existing supplier accounts in different regions / countries and with different manufacturers or wholesalers to have access to drugs at competitive prices, with attractive shelf life and necessary documentation, in a reliable and responsive manner. Coordinating the setup of new accounts with the Quality Department.\\n
  • Generate new supplier contracts and develop good and long-standing strategic supplier relationship with pharmaceutical manufacturers and wholesalers, develop trust with partners over time.\\n
  • Negotiate competitive Supply Agreements and / or Purchasing Terms & Conditions, inclusive of payment terms, attractive prices and volume / cash discount.\\n
  • Participate / lead Supplier Business review meetings and collaborate on opportunities for improvement. Tracking supplier spend, performance and capabilities.\\n
  • Support Comparator Program and Project Managers in their projects, optimize sourcing solutions including risk mitigation and take part in TC and negotiation to ensure closure / win of proposals as needed.\\n
  • Communicate up to date information to Strategic Sourcing and Market Intelligence analysts to ensure that the team has access to latest picture of the market for specific drugs and supply chains.\\n
  • Support/lead new services development in close collaboration with Program Managers, including development of value propositions and supportive communication material\\n
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure the timely manner of product deliverables and support from Supplier Management inclusive of invoice queries\\n
  • Attend daily triage meetings amongst the Comparator Sourcing Specialists\\n

Quality and compliance

  • Apply Good Distribution / Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.\\n
  • Product recall, support QA and client in case of product recalls.\\n
  • Ensure compliance to all FCS\\\'s rules and regulations as much from QA, legal and finance. Support to keep them meaningful and adapted to our changing environment.\\n

  • \\n
  • Active part in Practical Process Improvement & Just-Do-It, lean and other improvement projects.\\n
  • Contribute to the on boarding, training and development of employees as necessary\\n

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.

  • Very good understanding of Clinical Trials Supplies and Pharmaceutical Logistics as well as of pricing systems in different countries\\n
  • High Level of Business Acumen in both Administration and Business Strategies\\n
  • Proven organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities within established deadlines Customer focused with agility to meet changing priorities.\\n
  • Very good communication and negotiation skills (verbal & written)\\n
  • Preferably experience within the Pharmaceutical and Clinical Trial industry\\n
  • Fluent in English (verbal & written)\\n
  • German language skills are very beneficial\\n
  • Commercial training is an advantage\\n
  • Resilient, reliable and flexible\\n
