Who we're looking for
We are seeking a Product Manager to join our team in Zurich. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of assigned private equity products--from development and launch to ongoing management. You will work closely with colleagues across Investment, Sales, Fund Operations and Legal, driving the creation and implementation of private equity funds and mandates. You will also support fundraising and marketing activities, particularly in Germany and Switzerland, and act as a key expert and point of contact for sales teams and investors.
The team
Since forming in 1997, Schroders Capital's private equity business has successfully expanded into all areas of private equity - global Venture Capital, European and US buyouts, Asia Growth, with investment teams on the ground in Zurich, London, New York, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing and Seoul. The private equity team comprises >190 professionals and currently has AuM of USD >25bn. The role will be within the Product and Solutions Management team comprising of 12 people.
Key activities
Act as Product Manager and be responsible for the complete lifecycle of assigned products (development, launch, and ongoing management)
Close collaboration with Investment, Sales, Fund Operations and Legal teams on the development and launch of private equity funds and mandates
Manage and support fundraising and marketing efforts, including answering RFPs, managing datarooms and handle any other client information requests
Technical analysis of performance data and updating marketing materials
Serve as an expert on the assigned private equity products and build relationships with Sales teams as well as investors by addressing their inquiries
Monitor sales pipeline and CRM systems (Salesforce) to support fundraising and ensure all prospective investors are captured and engaged with
Prepare and manage competitor information on products and investment strategies, including comparable performance data
Required profile
3-8 years of proven experience in private equity, private markets or asset management in a product management, sales or business development role
University degree or relevant experience considered equivalent, and ideally some form of post graduate qualification such as MSc, CFA or CAIA
Good financial markets understanding and analytical skills coupled with a demonstrated commercial outlook and ability to make compelling arguments
Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and ideally another language to communicate with clients and draft marketing materials
Demonstrated excellent project management capabilities, effectively engaging collaborators and encouraging an enhanced cooperation and communication between teams
Flexible, curious and willing to learn, with a strong work ethic and willing to work extra hours when required
