Position Summary

As a Production & Capacity Planner, you will create production plans that align with available capacity and ensure that finished and semi-finished goods are readily available, meeting customer demand while minimizing costs. Additionally, you will focus on replenishing dispatch points to meet customer service objectives and optimize stock cover.

A Day in the Life of a Production & Capacity Planner
  • Establish an 18-month production plan for factories, including subcontracting facilities if applicable Create a feasible production plan considering available capacity, labor, and materials, while respecting product family sequencing
  • Determine Committed Capacity, including proposals for plant shutdowns and investments.
  • Identify opportunities and issues for the factory within the planning period
  • Contribute to cross-functional planning activities and support Strategic Volume Planning
  • Challenge manufacturing to optimize lot sizes, cycle times, and inventory levels
  • Collaborate with Demand Planner to improve Demand Planning Accuracy
  • Analyze and evaluate supply plans and net dispatch requirements to meet customer needs
  • Plan and optimize mixed loads considering transportation constraints
  • Manage inventory to balance product availability and minimize costs
What will make you successful
  • University degree / HES degree
  • Primary experience in planning, and/or other ERP
  • Good knowledge of SAP/APO (Advanced Planning Optimization) tools or other ERP
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Power BI is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Strong interest for Supply chain and Operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in French or English
