In Switzerland, we work with 300 experts in Life Sciences who support our customers on their various projects in the French-speaking and German-speaking parts of the country. With our three agencies in Geneva, Lausanne and Basel.

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join Efor Switzerland in the Basel region. In this role, you will play a key part in a major CapEx project focused on implementing lyophilizer (freeze dryer) systems.

ABOUT THE JOB:

You will oversee package management, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure project success from defining User Requirements Specifications (URS) to Installation and Operational Qualifications (IQ/OQ).

Collaborate with stakeholders to define URS and ensure the alignment of project goals.

Oversee the entire lifecycle of the lyophilizer installation, from specification to delivery and qualification.

Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Conduct regular project reviews and ensure adherence to safety and compliance regulations.

Monitor project schedules, identify risks, and drive corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.

Support the commissioning and qualification phases, with a focus on delivering a fully operational and compliant system.

Provide thorough documentation and reporting aligned with GMP standards.

ABOUT YOU:

A degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field (Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering preferred).

At least 3-5 years of experience managing CapEx or technical projects, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.

Familiarity with lyophilization processes and associated equipment is a significant advantage.

Strong experience managing subcontractors and cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of GMP guidelines, project qualification, and validation processes (URS, IQ, OQ).

Ability to work autonomously while maintaining excellent collaboration with stakeholders.

Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong asset.
