\\nThe Position

We are dedicated to the beautiful game and its development in every corner of the world and in all of its aspects.

We are now looking for a Qualifiers & International Matches Manager that is part of FIFA and supports us on our mission.

These are your key tasks:
  • Planning and execution of FIFA qualifying competitions (mainly the men\\\'s FWC Qualifiers and some Olympic men\\\'s and women\\\'s Qualifiers), especially preparing the continental appointments of the match officials (referees, referee assessors and match commissioners), including the preparation or creation, and dispatching of the appointment letters
  • Updating on a regular basis the specific interactive tool on MS Teams that is shared with several FIFA departments for a smooth coordination and delivery of the Qualifiers
  • Feeding the FIFA system IFES with the specific match appointments\\\' data
  • Monitoring of international travels for the appointed match officials in close cooperation with FIFA Travel
  • Pre- and post-match reporting collection and analysis as well as taking of action in accordance with the various Regulations and Guidelines that govern the preliminary competitions
  • Ensuring that the FIFA Members comply with the relevant FIFA Regulations and Guidelines when taking part in the Qualifiers
  • Supporting the coordination and execution of the regional tailor-made workshops around the qualifiers (match commissioners, etc.), including drafting of contents and in the presenter\\\'s role
  • Interacting closely on special cases with FIFA Disciplinary and/or other relevant departments
  • Approving and processing the notes of expenses of the appointed match officials following the completion of their duties for FIFA
  • Providing support during the periodic review process of the relevant competition regulations
  • Overall control of the administrative management of the international friendlies (in particular tier-1 approvals), especially keeping to date the dedicated tool on MS Teams
  • Acting as contact person for the Confederations and Member Associations for all questions related to international friendlies and issuing of the FIFA authorization letters
  • Acting as the main liaison with the FIFA Data Management unit (and other departments whenever required) for the history and archiving of the tier-1 authorized friendlies
  • Keeping the generic e-mail inboxes for the Qualifiers - qualifiers@fifa.org - and International Matches - fima@fifa.org - clean and up to date, with prompt replies and interaction
  • Ensuring that the best-practice achievements are constantly validated and updated These tasks are a good start. Time will change. Take it and shape it.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:
  • Able to work independently with few but clear instructions
  • Ideally in possession of a University degree or master but not an absolute condition
  • A few years in the administration of a sports\\\' organization, preferably at international level and with some experience with committee structures and regulatory implementation
  • Accurate and responsible and detail oriented
  • Fluency in oral and written English, French and Spanish
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
  • Able to work under pressure but without neglecting any of the set objectives
  • Sensitive to the needs of complying with tight deadlines in the delivery of the assigned work and timely execution of tasks
  • Self-criticism as part of the collective learning process to enhance the performance
  • Open-minded, positive, and keen to share experiences and knowledge
  • Proactive in seeking further assistance/advice in the event of complex cases or new situations
  • Football passionate
  • A few years in the administration of a sports\\\' organization, preferably at international level and with some experience with committee structures and regulatory implementation
  • Awareness that the position requires standby duties around and during the international match calendar windows due to the different formats and calendars within the confederations and to the unforeseen circumstances that may arise around the respective match deliveries
  • This position does not require regular travels
