In this role, you will be accountable for the organization and documentation of material import/export processes in all countries within one platform with specific import/export requirements and restrictions. Regular communication is essential with clients, sponsors, CROs, local representatives, Logistics and Project management departments.

applicable studies including setups and modifications.

The RIC is accountable for the organization and documentation of material

import/export processes in all countries within one platform with specific

import/export requirements and restrictions:

Upon requirement of Project Management, take ownership of import/export

processes (documentation) at Study set up/modification of studies including

specific countries for which distinct import/export processes are required.

Develop a thorough understanding of sponsor needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met for the identified countries. Develop and maintain business relationships with key personnel of sponsor, CRA and partners related

to logistics/custom activities and the administration of Health Authority

requirements. Act as a point of contact with Sponsor/CRO to collect study

specific information related to these specific countries (e.g. Local CRO, Importer, Broker). Explain Covance processes and discuss feasibility with Sponsor/CRO.

Maintain knowledge and awareness of regional import/export laws and

regulations in relationship with Covance Logistics and liaison portfolio

manager. Collect and analyze regional performance metrics.

Proactively communicate with Project Management, logistics partners, carriers and handling agents to resolve shipment issues and anomalies for these specific countries, if applicable.

Act as a coordinator and consultant for Project Management for any external

request regarding import/export for specific countries affecting the study.

Regional Import Coordinators are the most successful at Labcorp with:


2+ years of experience in international logistics of clinical trials management Educated to degree level Any specialization/certification within the Supply Chain/Logistics field is a plus Fluency in English. Ability to work independently Ability to use computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) Strong verbal and written skills Attention to detail
