Job description
We seek an enthusiastic research associate/scientist to join the Mass Spectrometry team at Philochem.
The team develops and applies Mass Spectrometry-based techniques for the company's drug discovery and development programs.
Philochem focuses its research on targeted therapy in oncology. The research pipeline includes both biopharmaceuticals (i.e., immunocytokines) and small molecules (i.e., small molecule-radio conjugates and small molecule-drug conjugates).
You will be responsible for executing Philochem's mass spectrometry activities, developing and implementing novel methodologies to expand the team's capabilities, and supporting team members in their activities. Together with the team, you will provide answers to discovery and development questions, facilitate the advancement of pre-clinical and clinical products, and contribute to the discovery of innovative therapies.
Responsibilities
Use and maintain state-of-the-art HPLC and mass spectrometry instrumentation (i.e., Orbitrap)
Design, plan, and execute scientific projects related to R&D programs
Implement new workflows and applications
Generate reports and internal documents
Interact with internal and external partners and collaborators
Give scientific presentations
Write scientific articles and publish them in peer-reviewed scientific journals
Minimum requirements
Master's degree or PhD in chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, with a focus on mass spectrometry applications
Excellent experience in the use and maintenance of HPLC and high-resolution mass spectrometry instruments
Extensive experience with sample preparation procedures for mass spectrometry-based analysis
Very good knowledge of the drug discovery and development process for both small molecules and biopharmaceuticals
Very good knowledge of data analysis and editing Software (i.e., R/Python, Prism, Illustrator)
Very good knowledge of written and spoken English.
