Acquisition, planning and management of research projects in the field of organic environmental chemistry (e.g. PFAS, antibiotics, or microplastics in the agricultural environment)
Development, optimisation, validation and application of appropriate analytical methods
Quantitative determination of stable isotopes (13C, 15N) in agricultural environmental samples using isotope mass spectrometry and of water components (e.g. anions, cations) using liquid chromatography, coupled with a conductivity detector or mass spectrometer
Operation, upkeep and maintenance of the analytical tools used for this purpose
Training postdocs, PhD students, interns and laboratory staff in isotope and water analytics ; advice and support in use
Authoring peer-reviewed scientific and practical publications; giving scientific talks at international and national conferences
This makes you unique

Doctorate in chemistry, environmental sciences or a related subject area
A sound knowledge of organic environmental chemistry and trace analysis, ideally with the above-mentioned analytes and sample types, as well as with chromatographic and mass-spectrometry analytical methods
Experience in raising research funds and managing research projects
Team-oriented and dedicated personality with a strong interest in agroecological and environmental chemistry issues
Good knowledge of two official Swiss languages and good English
